Have you ever wanted to rail against someone who parked their car half-assed? I sure have.
Well, if you lived in Moscow, Russia, you’d have to opportunity to exposed them.
A new Android app called: “Douche Parking” is aimed at stopping what its creators call “parking douches in Moscow” by subjecting them to public shame — in the news and on billboards.
[sam_ad id=”” codes=”true”]
The way the app works is when civilians spot bad parking, or as I refer to it as “bad park jobs”, they can snap an image via the smartphone and then upload them to the “Douche” database.
The ads will appear on the Moscow-based online newspaper The Village. The news site is also the driving force behind the creation of the app.
Exposing people via internet uploads is nothing new, however, developing an app to do so is and some may find this technology useless. I personally do not.
Now, if only there were an app created to expose drivers who endanger others who talk on their cellphones, people who speed in parking lots, or SUV owners who park in compact spaces. Word of advice, the word “compact” is NOT a verb.
How do you feel about the “Douche Parking” app?
